Multiple accounts Empty Multiple accounts

Post by VartKat Thu Apr 28, 2011 12:06 pm

Hello,

Thanks, this a great piece of software.

Just a few words to explain why I/We use OWATray.
In my office we are several people and only two computers, we're working on different hours.
As we are sharing computers and a win session we didn't setup Outlook and only use OWA.
That is where your software comes, as we don't use Outlook we don't get notification which is crucial for us.

But...But. When I finish work, if I reboot my computer for the next worker, when he opens the shared session he gets OWATray with my account, login, and pass.

This is surely a wonderfull feature for many people but for us it is not.

It would be nice if OWATray was able to deal with multiple accounts and to forget passwords.
We can imagine that, (if the multiple accounts option is checked in the prefs) at login OWATray asks for the account to use and password.

Thanks for reading

Regards

Please take a look at the following thread. This will allow you to do what you are asking for without any code changes.

Hello,

thanks for your quick answer.

I saw that making copies of OWAtray.exe and OWAtray.exe.config and renaming theses files makes multiple configurations.

OK, but that is not so secure nor so elegant as making a little local submenu for the login field in the settings plus offering the option to not record the password.

I imagine opening my session and having OWATray popup asking me who I am (to choose from a local menu) and my password. That's it.

Thanks for your help and great work.

Regards
V.

ya i rather have it all under one roof instead of multiple apps,
i have few apps under development under .net and i know its not at all hard to add this feature,
its more elegant and effiecent

I may re-visit this at some point, although TBH the demand is not that high.
