Request failed. The underlying connection was closed.
I'm getting no connection with exchange 2007.
In the logging I get:
- Configured to communicate with Exchange 2007
- Ready
- Connected
- Error: Request failed. The underlying connection was closed. Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
Please advice?

Frank,
Almost certainly a certificate issue. Does your Exchange site have a valid certificate?
Please try double-clicking the tray icon and see if OWA opens up successfully. Does the site display a valid certificate in IE?

Nope it doesn't have a certificate.
I don't know if it will ever get one.
But i know that a different owa tray program doesn't have this issue with owa 2003.
Why should it be a problem now, with owa 2007?
Isn't there a workaround?

Re: Request failed. The underlying connection was closed.
There are various methods for interfacing to Exchange remotely. The method that OWAtray uses is certainly different from previous methods that were compatible with Exchange 2003. Unfortunately a certificate is necessary.
I would argue that trying to use Exchange remotely without a certificate will cause you many problems out with OWAtray.
Sorry.
You may have more luck with OWANotify,

A follow-up,
as you pointed to OwaNotifier, it has an option to bypass the certificate warning for exch 2003.
Mayby this is interesting for you as well.

I certainly hope you can find away, because i'm not convinced that the certificate for the exchange server comes anywhere soon.
If you manage this I have a hole bunch of collega's that want your program for certain.
Kind regards and keep-up the good work,
Frank

Re: Request failed. The underlying connection was closed.
Lain,
I've been testing OwaTray for a few months and it works like a charm with exchange 2007 (even with the Microsoft BPOS).
Beautiful
The only thing i didn't get to work is exchange 2003 accounts, somehow i'm keep getting the error:
Request failed. The remote server returned an error: (440) Login Timeout.
I believe this is due to an incorrect exchange url. (after i've changed the override server url in advanced options (thanks btw for implementing))
My question is;
Do you have a correct exchange 2003 server url format, so i know what format to use.
I tried:
(with and without certificate override)
[blank]
https://office.mycompany.com/exchweb/bi ... alogon.asp
https://office.mycompany.com/exchange
https://office.mycompany.com/exchange/JohnDoe
https://office.mycompany.com/exchange/JohnDoe#
https://office.mycompany.com/exchange/JohnDoe/inbox

Re: Request failed. The underlying connection was closed.
Sorry, Frank, it just won't work with Exchange 2003.
2007 is a minimum requirement.
